I’m very excited to announce, I’m now working on the second edition of Resident Dog - a coffee table book showcasing incredible architecturally designed homes brought to life by the warmth and personality of the resident dogs that live there.
This edition will feature 25 homes from the US, the UK, and Australia, across 240 pages. Once again all photography will be by me, with limited text and no human presence.
I’m very passionate about this project because of the way dogs bring a unique and playful energy to a home. They are non-judgemental, they live in the moment and, no matter how well designed their homes are, they bring a softness that helps people connect to the architecture in a very special way.
Do you have an incredible architectural project or projects - with Resident Dog - that you would like to put forward for consideration? I’m taking submissions at this stage for the UK and US component, these are due on the 10th of September 2019. Please PM or send me an email if you have any questions or would like to discuss.

Hey Sidney, tell us about your home... “I love my home, we live on Sydney harbour in a 2 level apartment with lots of space and a natural lawn. Maxi, Studio Dog at @carrdesigngroup and “self appointed custodian of the office” has been sitting on this chair since he was a puppy, that’s almost 15 years | picture taken on my phone while setting up the shot... clearly he was born to model @nicoleengland

I photographed this house for @aboutsjb long before the Resident Dog project was born. Charlie the #labradoodle couldn’t help himself but wander into the frame just as I took the shot. What was meant to be a tight interior detail came to life with Charlie’s presence... and that’s what Resident Dog is all about... exploring incredible architecture and interiors through the eyes of our furry friends.
